Not really, gentle reader. I just wanted an attention-grabbing title. I couldn't think of much else, so there it be.
I dislike so long leaving this page stagnant, oh reader, so I think that I'm going to start working on taking more pictures once more. Those of you who have waited with baited breath, rejoice! Those who don't care, rejoice anyway!
I've mostly been very busy, reader, and have started going to a rather prestigious state university, which is known for its agricultural department, of which I am now part. A tiny cog is no less a cog than a flywheel is a flywheel, reader (thought that doesn't make much sense). I'm currently listed under the Horticulture department, which makes perfect sense, and this university does not offer my favored study, entomology, as an undergraduate major. Unfortunate, to be sure, but I plan on attempting to help remedy this situation, so that those who wish to follow in the footsteps of all the great and good of the insect-loving community will be able to do so here wherever it is that I live.
My classes are going swimmingly, all-in-all, but I just wanted to say that for all of you who are at all interested in the subjects of gardening or farming, if you can, take a class in Entomology and Plant Pathology. While I may be somewhat biased in this suggestion, the discipline is one of great importance, as it allows students to more readily identify possible factors that could lead to harmful results in plants, which is useful for all gardeners and similar. I personally find it great fun as well (though this may be in part due to my exceptional teacher, who I shall refer to as 'Dr. Awesomefungus').
So, with the anecdotes that Dr. Awesomefungus has, including a hilarious story that involves bolts, pants, and a large shelf mushroom on Halloween, the entire class is easy and enjoyable to remember. I'm proud to say that I have been a part of the only class that he's taught in twenty eight years to make all B's and above on an exam as well (fingers crossed for all A's, dear readers).
And so it is that my wild, madcap adventures at an actual university begin, dear readers! I may wind up writing more about them, and I may not, but as it stands, I will leave you with amazing and fascinating lineup of my professors (all Dr.): Awesomefungus, Greatsublady, Ladybotanical, Fantastanorth, Lableader, and, of course, my advisor and landscape plants prof: Doctor Dryculturedwittyboss.
These are preliminary, however, because there is no way in hell that I can remember any of those monikers, but there you have it.
To all my faithful readers, thank you. To all my unfaithful readers, thank you. To all of you, thank you.
The Emperor Protects.
